21-year-old charged with supplying lethal heroin dose

A 21-YEAR-old woman from Limassol has admitted that she supplied the dose of heroin to 22-year-old Marios Theodorou, who died from an overdose of the hard drug, police said yesterday.

During the Drug Prevention Unit’s (YKAN) investigation of Theodorou’s death, information was received that lead police to believe the young woman had supplied the lethal dose of heroin to the 22-year-old. The 21-year-old, who is also a heroin addict, was called in for questioning.

In her report to police, she admitted to supplying heroin to Theodorou on Sunday at around 4pm. The man died of an overdose a few hours later. The suspect told police she gave the drug to Theodorou because he was her friend.

The 21-year-old was charged in writing for possession, use and supply of an illegal drug, and was released.
