THE Bank of Cyprus said yesterday it had concluded the acquisition of 80 per cent in Russia’s Uniastrum Bank for $576 million (€447m) as part of its expansion strategy abroad.
The bank said the acquisition was completed after regulatory approval from the central banks of Cyprus and Russia and the Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service.
FOUR Larnaca airport shuttle buses have been tampered with by alleged competitors, reports said yesterday.
The buses, two of which belong to EAL (Limassol Urban Bus Company) and two to Nicosia’s Kapnos, had their serpentine belts cut in the past few days.
The buses carry out routes to and from Larnaca airport from Limassol and Nicosia respectively.
