If there’s one thing that needs a full recovery after the summer, it’s my hair.
After using all those products to keep it in place and in top condition during the humidity horror we experienced this summer, I am letting my hair breathe.
No products, no styling, nothing. I am using an organic shampoo and conditioner by Apivita, however, perfect for coloured and dry hair because let’s face it, there’s no way I’m laying off the dye and there’s no way my hair type is going to magically change.
>From the Propoline line, the shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair offers protection against the sun, other environmental factors and styling while it also deeply hydrates, nourishes and repairs. Contains honey and sunflower to improve the condition of your hair. So you see, it’s the perfect tool for your hair to bounce back into form for winter.

If you need an excuse to declutter…
I finally did it. Last Saturday I knuckled down and cleared out my bedroom/wardrobe. I had been dreading it for months but it wasn’t so much the clothes; it was the space.
I needed to get rid of the clutter, clear the room and clear my mind. The main reason I had this sudden need for a change in the apartment, in general, was a recent visit to the M&S Home store in Nicosia. Apart from the fact that they now have frozen foods to complement the vast food department, new kitchenware and bed linen, are also available and are all to die for. Warm coloured bed linen, patterned and plain, amazing combinations of soft materials with metallic designs and even kid’s duvet covers but if you feel like giving your kitchen and tableware a lift, check out the various designs.
Striped, floral, plain in bold colours, Marks and Spencer is finally giving us a range of different styles to suit different tastes.

Shoes that are as cute as your baby is
It’s easy to get excited about baby stuff; everything’s so small, dripping in bright, happy colours and most times, ultra stylish too. However, that’s how many (namely moi) get carried away when purchasing for babies or kids, throwing money away on mass produced items that are of no use and certainly no good for the tots.
Take shoes, for instance: your baby’s foot is different from your own; it barely has bones in it, yet when the time comes for them to take their first precious steps, their tiny feet are jammed into plastic moulds when they should be in soft, natural leather like Inch Blue handmade slippers.
Designed to give total comfort for infants to two-year-olds, Inch Blue shoes provide supple, non-slip suede soles for tiled and wooden floors, soft breathable leather that protects and allows feet to grow naturally and elasticised ankles for ease of fit and to ensure shoes stay on.
Not only does this wonderful brand care about your baby’s feet, you can also find a range of products such as babygros (which come in gift sets with matching shoes) and blankets made of luxury lambswool. And the best part? The designs are divine and unlike anything you’ve seen before! Gorgeous gifts for gorgeous beings.

Health and healing from your cuppa
Ayurveda is an ancient system of health and healing practised in India for over 5,000 years. Meaning ‘science of life’, Ayurveda is used to heal and empower body, mind and spirit and bring balance and energy.
Although, ideally, you should be hopping to a yoga class to reap the all-round benefits of Ayurveda, I think the Clipper Organic Ayurvedic Detox Infusion will do for now. With a crisp taste combining rosemary, ginger, oregano, turmeric, aloe vera and lime, there is an abundance of goodness in one teabag.
Historically recognised for its medicinal virtues and widely used in ancient apothecary preparations, rosemary’s Latin name ‘ros maris’ means ‘dew of the sea’ and its distinctive flavour has a wealth of culinary uses. Ginger is one of the most important detoxifying Ayurvedic herbs and its warmth is thought to improve circulation. Turmeric is sought after for its musky flavour and in Asia is taken as a remedy for liver congestion. Aloe Vera is also believed to be another important Ayurvedic detoxifier, rich in antioxidants. Natural lime flavour lifts and completes this highly refreshing infusion.
