SECURITAS robber Sean Lupton continues to “live it up” in Kyrenia, despite British and Turkish Cypriot police attempts to find him, Lupton’s wife Therese has said.

Speaking to Britain’s Daily Mail over the weekend, Lupton’s embittered wife said she had been shown evidence by the British police that proved “beyond any doubt” that Lupton was alive and well and living in the north.

A DRUNK driver almost killed a Paphos toddler on Sunday night when he swerved off course and mounted the pavement, police said yesterday.

The incident took place at around 8.40pm on Ayios Antoniou Street in Kato Paphos.

Three arrested in cabaret sting

A 55-YEAR-OLD Nicosia cabaret owner and two of his waiters were yesterday remanded in five-day custody in connection with prostitution charges, police said.

The suspects were arrested during the early hours of Sunday on pimping, prostitution, and sexual exploitation charges. Police had received a tip-off the cabaret, located in old Nicosia, was prostituting its staff.

Man dies after being hit by drunk driver

A 90-YEAR-OLD pedestrian was killed in the early hours of Sunday morning after being hit by a drunk driver.

The incident took place at 5.30am in the Nicosia district village of Peristerona as Christos Siarmatta was attempting to cross Nicosia Avenue.

He was rushed by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
