Gala to raise money for heart defect sufferers

THE ADULT Congenital Heart Defects Association (ACHDAC) yesterday announced their annual Charity Gala Dinner to support their Medical Fund.

ACHDAC presented the launch of the programme for the prevention of the Sudden Death syndrome in young people and young athletes and for continuous education, training and research programmes

Among the main targets of the Association is to gather patients from the age of 13, to provide patients with employment, financial and psychological support.

Cypriot singer Stavros Constantinou will be singing at the Presidential Palace on September 5 at the Gala Dinner that will be held under the auspices of First Lady Elsi Christofia. The event starts at 8.30pm and the ticket price is €100.

President of ACHDAC Katerina Papadopoulou said, “We hold this Gala to close the circle of this year. The Association had been going for a good two and a half years thanks to the support of the people and this Gala is held to thank them.”

The Association urges people to make donations by calling 909 36004 to support the fund and the patients for medical equipment and operative and post operative support.
