Back to school
PRIMARY school students will start back at school on September 4, while their teachers will assume their duties on September 1, the ministry of education has announced.
Teachers will use the first three days to prepare, separating the children into departments, drafting the timetable, preparing the classrooms, distributing books, checking material and assuming duties and responsibilities.
As of this school year, students of all classes will be entitled to free bus passes, with the aim of facilitating children and their parents and relieving traffic congestion during peak hours, as well as to cultivate a sense of public transport.
During the first stage, 50 schools with about 26,000 students will be facilitated.
