Australian AHEPA to hold congress in Cyprus

THE AUSTRALIAN division of the American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) will be holding an extraordinary congress in Cyprus on July 14.

The congress is being organised on the occasion of the 54th world congress of AHEPA, which took place in Athens from July 1 to 7.

According to a press release, the purpose of Monday’s congress in Cyprus is to brief the members of AHEPA on Cyprus and its political problem, with the cooperation of all organisations involved in enlightenment, with an aim to further contribute towards the struggle for justice and the implementation of UN resolutions.

The congress is being organised in co-operation with the Overseas and Repatriated Cypriots Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (CNA)
