A message from the afterlife

PSYCHICS, spirits, ghosts and the after life are always tricky issues to navigate due to the blinding lack of evidence.

The long hot summer that we could cool

AT THE time of writing, the price of crude oil reached $135 a barrel. To get some perspective, last year it was $64 a barrel. Ten years ago, a mere $12 a barrel.

I read last week’s headlines about racism with interest, particularly the heavy protestations and condemnations by senior politicians against the phenomenon. They appeared to say that people should treat all others as equals as per the EU Treaty that this island has signed up to and agreed to abide by.
