Christofias to meet Brown on sidelines of UK conference

PRESIDENT Demetris Christofias arrived in London last night, after an invitation by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown to take part in a conference on “The promotion of Global Welfare”.

The work of the conference, taking place in Watford, will be separated into two parts: the first part on the subject the progressive governing, will be tomorrow and takes place under the auspices of the Policy Network think-tank.

The second part, will be organised by the Chancellor, and will take place on Saturday involving a meeting of the leaders.

Tonight, Christofias will take part in a dinner hosted by Brown at his country house of Chequers.
