Combating child abuse

THE EUROPEAN Police Academy (CEPOL) yesterday wrapped up its seminar in Cyprus on how to combat child abuse.

The 15 participating counties exchanged views and practices in a bid to draw up a common strategy on how to prevent and deal with child abuse.
Deputy Police Chief Michael Papageorgiou told attendants: “This seminar has been a useful tool in combating child abuse. Cyprus will co-operate with the EU to combat this phenomenon.”
