Nicosia man killed in bike crash

A YOUNG man from Nicosia was killed in a road accident on Sunday evening.

Nicholas David Wright, aged 21 from Nicosia, lost his life in a horrific crash at 7pm on the Anthoupolis-Nicosia road after his motorcycle collided with a car driven by a 38-year-old man at a traffic light junction.

The causes of the collision are being investigated. The police conducted an alco-test and the driver of the car indicated a zero level.

The victim was a police officer and served in the Rapid Reaction Squad (MMAD). He was wearing a helmet.
