A DOCTOR is set to appeal a Nicosia court decision which ruled that he was guilty of medical negligence following a procedure to remove bunions from a woman’s feet.

Fellow colleagues however, have hit back at the ruling, which was conveyed last Monday.

THE Paphos District Court yesterday remanded two Romanians for eight days following their arrest on forgery charges on Tuesday.

The two men, aged 21 and 25, were arrested after the manager of a commercial bank in the town reported that two men were acting suspiciously outside the premises.

A SYRIAN man was remanded for eight days by the Larnaca court yesterday on suspicion of trafficking in illegal immigrants.

The 23-year old man is suspected of helping 12 immigrants cross from the north and of charging them between $1,000 and $1,500 to do so. The 12 were part of a group of 47 that have crossed in recent days.
