THE SEVEN-year-old Sri Lankan girl who had surgery to remove a brain tumour in Israel last year is making a “positive recovery”.

Jasmitha Maharajasingh, who has been at the Sheba Medical Centre’s Edmond and Lily Safra Children’s Hospital at Tel Hashomer since October, is said to be doing very well.

THE next 48 hours are critical for the three-year-old girl injured in Tuesday’s crash that killed her father and another man, doctors said yesterday.

The new location is said to be better able to cope with the increased demands of the Ministry and its 200 staff. The Ministry only moved to the Pallouriotissa building some eight years ago.
