Court to re-examine murder case in wake of new evidence

A CONVICTED killer will re-appear in a Limassol court next month after the Supreme Court gave licence to his lawyers to accept new evidence being admitted in the case.

Ierotheos Christodoulou, alias Ropas, is scheduled to go before the Limassol District Court on February 8, when state prosecutors will state whether they have any objections to the new evidence being submitted.

Ropas was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1999 along with two accomplices for the murder of night club bouncer Marios Panayides.
