So, back safe and well in Cyprus, having narrowly avoided mercury poisoning in Scotland. We were staying at my aunt’s when one afternoon over a cup of coffee she casually asked us if we had noticed anything strange in the loo. Actually we had, but decided it was probably polite not to mention it.

The veggie way to go

You may have heard of Pizza Mia’s pizza’s and salads, but this family restaurant also serves, as I was pleasantly surprised to find, tasty vegetarian pastas. I enjoyed the oven-baked Spaghetti Napolitana’s (€6,24) basic yet rich flavour.The Spaghetti Vegetariana, also good, was almost twice the size as the other orders, and for some reason only €0.50 more expensive.
