Transport Minister visits Polemidia

FOLLOWING the request of Kato Polemidia Council, the Minister of Transport and Works Maria Malaktou-Babali will visit the municipality today to discuss a number of infrastructure problems in the area.

“The meeting with the Minister will be very important, and the aim is promote our municipality’s requests, so that a new drive for development arises,” said Giorgos Georgiou, Mayor of Kato Polemidia, Limassol district.

The meeting’s agenda will include the construction of a road linking Limassol General Hospital and the New Port, construction of an avenue that links the Platres road with the Hospital, dealing with noise pollution along the Kranidiotis and Omonoia Streets, as well as the creation and maintenance of road bridges.

The meeting will be held today at 9am at the municipality’s offices.
