A case of euro profiteering?

Sir,

Three days ago I went to the cinema – K-Cineplex, to be precise. The last time I went, a few months ago, I paid £4.00 for my ticket. They have now been re-printed in both pounds and euros, and the new price is €7.50, and the Cyprus pound equivalent (which was what I paid) was £4.39 – i.e. an increase of very nearly 10 per cent.

Shame on K-Cineplex for taking advantage of the euro change-over in such a way.  The true equivalent of £4.00 should have been €6.83 according to the nice little calculator kindly supplied by (I believe) the Ministry of Finance.  Rounding this up to €7.00 would have given K-Cineplex a quite acceptable small boost to their income without taking their customers for a ride.
