Boy dies from injuries

A BOY of six, who was hit by a car while crossing the street in Limassol last week, succumbed to his injuries yesterday at Nicosia General Hospital.

On the night of October 23, the six-year-old was crossing Ayios Epiktitou Street in the Ayios Athanasios area of Limassol when he was knocked down by a car being driven by a 46-year-old woman. The boy, who suffered massive head injuries and internal bleeding, was rushed to Limassol General Hospital before being transferred to Nicosia General Hospital because of the seriousness of his condition.

Yesterday, doctors announced that the six-year-old died as a result of the injuries he had sustained.
