Briton in a coma after Napa stag night brawl

A 30-YEAR-old Briton was yesterday forced to cancel his holiday wedding after he and three friends were seriously injured in a violent Ayia Napa brawl at the weekend.

One of the men, Anthony Stephenson, 40, is in a coma fighting for his life at Larnaca general hospital, police said.

Heating fuel tax to fall

THE HOUSE Finance Committee yesterday approved a four-cent reduction on heating fuel duty, which will come into force after approval by the Plenum.

The Chairman of the Committee, DIKO’s Antigoni Papadopoulou, said the reduction was deemed necessary, not just by Parliament but also by the government.
