Two school robberies reported in one day

FOUR 15-year-old students have admitted to breaking and entering a primary school in Limassol, stealing equipment and causing damage to the premises.

The students broke into Limassol’s First Primary School while it was closed on September 28, and stole paints and technology equipment worth £100. They then used the paints to write on the walls, causing damage estimated at £500. The four teenagers were called in by the police and admitted to committing the crimes, police said yesterday.

They were charged and released.

In a different incident, a 43-year old teacher at the Eighth Primary School in Limassol reported that school material was stolen from her classroom. Police are investigating.
