New petrol hike hits consumers

MOTORISTS and consumers beware. As of yesterday, the price of petrol, diesel and heating oil has risen again.

Pambinos Charalambous, President of the Petrol Station Owners Association yesterday told the Mail that petrol has risen by 0.6 cents, euro diesel by one cent and heating fuel by two cents.

Traffic cameras to come down

TRAFFIC CAMERAS around the island were switched off at 4pm yesterday and are set to be dismantled, just three weeks shy of the first anniversary of their appearance.

Paphos go kart track reopens after accident

THE GO kart track in Paphos where a 12-year-old Belgian tourist was killed last month reopened yesterday after the court cancelled an injunction obtained by Yeroskipou Municipality to have its operation suspended.

At the end of last month, the Municipality managed to secure a court order shutting down the track until the investigation into the girl’s death was completed.
