POLICE were yesterday hunting the killer of a Limassol pensioner found half-naked and strangled to death at his home on Sunday night.

Lakis Ioannides, a retired pharmacist who lives alone at his home on Zinonos Street close to Heroes’ Square, was found by a relative at around 6.20pm on Sunday.

THE AUTHORITIES yesterday issued a long list of items dangerous to consumers, including toothpaste and body creams.

The items were listed in the latest bulletin by RAPEX, the European rapid alert system for dangerous non-food consumer products, which has issued multiple alerts about Chinese toothpaste in particular.

New initiative for state music schools

THE STATE’S Music School in Limassol will officially begin operations next month.
