Armed robbery

POLICE in Nicosia are investigating a case of armed robbery against two men accused of attacking and robbing a betting shop owner
.
According to police in Lakatamia, the 50-year-old betting shop owner identified two men, aged 45 and 63 from Limassol, who on Thursday had attacked him before taking around £1,000 from his till. They then reportedly got into a car and drove off.
The 50-year-old was taken to Nicosia General Hospital where doctors found him to be slightly injured injuries.

The two men were later picked up by police and have so far denied any wrongdoing. The 45-year-old was also examined by a state doctor who discovered various bruises and cuts on his body.
