Turkey and the EU

The behaviour of the Turkish government, army leaders and politicians is a good reason to doubt whether Turkey ever will be a proper liberal democracy. For this reason, it should be reasonable to find another kind of partnership between the EU and Turkey rather than the ordinary membership.

Anyway, for as long as Turkey is not willing to free the northern part of Cyprus, where even Swiss property is illegally occupied, there cannot be any reason for such partnership.
