It’s not as bad as you make it out

Sir,
We visit Cyprus two or three times a year staying in apartments or villas. I find the letters that have been printed over the last few weeks very one-sided… against holidays in Cyprus.

Do the writers not realise that the only reason that tourism has fallen over the past few years is because most of the Brits have now fallen in love with Cyprus and have bought their own places.

Ninenty-nine per cent of Cypriots that we have met have been very friendly and helpful.

 We think the cost of living in Cyprus has gone up but then it has gone up in the UK as well. If it was as bad as the letters are making out, nobody would visit your beautiful island and there would be a mass exodus from Coral Bay/Paphos.
