Two new bishops

TWO NEW bishops were yesterday sworn in at the Holy Synod for the areas of Ammochostos – Constantias and Tyliria – Kykkos. The voting was presided over by Archbishop Chrysostomos II.

With 65 votes in favour and two absent votes, the former Bishop of Trymithountas, Vasilios, was voted as the new Bishop of Ammochostos – Constantias whilse Bishop Kykkos Nikiforos was also voted without opposition as the new Bishop of Kykkos – Tylirias
