Give tourists more golf

Sir,

I have a house in Ayia Thekla, Ayia Napa and read with interest your article regarding tourists not returning to Cyprus.

The cost of flights is one major reason. Also, we do not provide things for the richer tourists, such as golf in our area.

If we had cheaper flights/better infrastructure and golf courses in the Ayia Napa area, we could guarantee regular tourists, especially in the non-existent winter season. This is a massive opportunity being missed.

I am an avid golfer myself and I am moving to Cyprus in December 2008. If the Tourist Board requires help in organising such things, I would be delighted to offer my services.
