Paphos police bust gang of British burglars

PAPHOS police yesterday busted a gang of three British burglars, who admitted to a number of break-ins.

The three young men were arrested after Paphos CID received a tip-off over a recent robbery in a tourist lodging.

According to Paphos Police Director Lambros Themistocleous, the men had admitted to the crime, along with a number of others.
The robberies have been taking place for the past few months in the entire Paphos district, starting from Paphos town and ending in Peyia.

Money, computers, cameras, mobile phones and jewellery are just a few of the items stolen from private homes and tourist flats.

The men have also taken credit cards, which they admitted to using at various cash points.
The exact value of the stolen goods has not yet been estimated, while the police are in search of a fourth young man who may also be involved in the case.
