Car bomb in Strovolos apartment block

A BOMB exploded in Nicosia in the early hours of yesterday morning, destroying four cars.
The bomb was placed under the car of 38-year-old businessman Michael Markides, who is currently away on business.

The high-powered device was detonated shortly after 1am in the underground car park of Markides’ Strovolos apartment complex.

The entrance to the building also sustained damage, with the police taking away evidence for forensic examination.
