Take seven: slippers

A few weeks ago most of us were thinking about putting our winter slippers away for a long time along with our jumpers, coats and woolly socks. But I guess the weather decided to give us a break and voila, here we are facing winter. So, now is the time to pull out those slippers; but if you’re in the mood for a new pair, have a look at these.

Debenhams

The vast range of slippers on the market in all shapes and sizes can be confusing and not a good idea when you’re faced with the necessity of buying new ones every year. So, I decided to check out one of the best places for quality and Debenhams wasn’t about to disappoint me. These plimsoll/sock slippers are among the cutest of the range. Put these on and you would swear you’re not wearing a thing and you’re pocket won’t notice the difference either! Available in black and white!

Peacocks

Peacocks offers the best clothing bargains on the Cyprus high street these days and in the nightwear department they’re still maintaining the ‘in’ and ‘must’ qualities. Isn’t the animal print pattern very up-to-date lately? Well, if you’re trendy, stylish and want to remain so even when you’re lounging around, these are definitely for you. And at this ridiculous price, who cares if they last!

Next

It would’ve been extremely foolish of me to not mention Next. Although their clothes don’t exactly thrill me (don’t get me wrong, I’ve bought tons of stuff from there), their bags, accessories and shoes sometimes make me want to scream with joy. Slippers are a favourite necessity and Next has made sure there’s something for everyone. I particularly like these leopard print boot/slippers because of their uniqueness. Haven’t seen any of these around, have you?

Debenhams

Yes, I know I’ve mentioned Debenhams already but believe me, I fought a long gruesome battle with myself before picking out these two pairs from the fabulous range they had, as my final decision. These are what you would probably consider slipper socks and you’re right. But aren’t they the cutest little things you’ve ever seen? A pink flower on knitted slippers? Sold!

Marks and Spencer

I knew M&S would be the perfect place to find a pair of slippers with that extra something and I was right, again! I’ve always loved their pyjamas and lingerie so I was positive the slippers wouldn’t be a disappointment. OK, so don’t expect anything too jazzy (this is Marks and Spencer) but if you want your slippers to serve your feet well instead of making a fashion statement, these are what you need. With a secret support inside, you’re looking at slippers that should see you through more than one winter! Excellent!

Next

Yes, I know I’m repeating myself… again but you really should check out these adorable slippers. They’ve put the idea of flat pumps into slippers, so I guess this looks something like what Kate Moss would wear around her house when she’s not busy (ha!). Extremely stylish and very upper class, this pair just screams detail and comfort. Tempted to wear them for a walk to the kiosk? I would too!

Sock shop

For those who just can’t stand wearing slippers for whatever reason, there’s also something on this list for you. Sock shop is a pioneer in marketing socks, tights and slipper socks! I walked in looking for something along the lines of slipper socks and stumbled across these. What are they exactly? Well, apart from the fact that they are a pair of very interesting and funny-looking slipper socks, when you put them on, they take on a 3D dimension. The perfect gift and perfect way to keep your tootsies warm!
