A Big Thank you to Blood Donors

Dear Sir,

I was recently diagnosed with a rare ailment that has weakened my body’s ability to produce healthy blood cells. I depend on the great kindness of others who selflessly give of their time and effort to travel to the blood banks on our beautiful island and donate blood.

Without your generosity, I would not survive. Many times while receiving transfusions, I think about all of you and wonder if you realise how much you are helping people like me. There are many people in Cyprus who depend on you for help during life saving surgeries, medical emergencies from accidents, and blood disorders.

I personally want to thank each and every one of you for truly giving the gift of life ad let you know that none of us undervalue what sacrifices you have done for us.

In today’s world, where there seems to be no end to news stories of mankind’s indifference and cruelty, it is very important to acknowledge the kindness of people in our community.
