Cocktail of the week with Fabrizio Musorella

Barbapapa

You may think this cocktail is named after one of Hanna Barbera’s cartoon characters, the familiar pink, rounded figure called Barbapapa. In fact, created this cocktail on the occasion of my father’s birthday (today), who, at one time, was a barber. I used to call him “barba” (meaning beard in Italian) when I was younger. It is probably thanks to his hobby of collecting miniature spirit bottles that I began my interest in experiments with mixing from a very young age. This cocktail it is a combination of dry fruit and smoky flavour with a hint of Mediterranean aroma. Enjoy mixing it for your beloved one and Salute!

Ingredients

4cl malt whisky
3cl Passito di Pantelleria (Sicilian sun-dried raisin wine)
2cl mandarin juice
Dash of mandarin liqueur

Preparation

Pour all the ingredients into a nixing glass with ice. Stir. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a twist of mandarin peel.
