Missed opportunity to host Liverpool game

Sir,
Hosting the Liverpool-Maccabi Haifa match would have generated income for the whole island, much needed from what I read with tourism down, companies going into liquidation, etc. But as usual the government has not looked further than the nose on the end of their face. Being greedy for more money to police the game, you have thrown away a chance to host a prestigious match, generate much needed income and boost Cyprus as a holiday destination. When will Cyprus learn to look forward at benefits and not let them slip through its fingers? Cyprus is gaining the reputation of an island that takes and is not prepared to give.
