Online radio from Velvet Classic

VELVET Classic Radio and Media Company Limited have launched the island’s first internet radio station, broadcasting worldwide in English and available to anyone with access to the web.

Velvetclassic.net was created to provide a worldwide music, news, information and entertainment radio service, mainly in English for Expats living in Cyprus, but also for English and Greek people living abroad.

With its comprehensive website, Velvet Classic is also introducing a chat room.

Programmes will be entertaining, topical and humorous, the radio station says. Velvet Classic will broadcast local Cypriot and international news, combined with English and Greek music programmes and other sounds from yesteryear until now.

The stations adds advertisers will receive impressive deals, available in Cyprus, the UK and worldwide. The station is currently running a special offer, where those interested can have 360 advertisements a month for just £50.

The project, which was launched in December, has so far proved to be a huge success. “We are making over 50,000 hits a month,” the station’s General Manager, Malcolm Morris told the Mail yesterday.
