Smoke and the non-smoker

Sir,

I wish to point out a couple of things about what smoke is like to the non-smoker.

When in Cyprus, I found that smokers don’t care about the person next to them or close to them, especially in restaurants, They light up a cigarette while other people in their group haven’t yet finished eating, that makes the food they are eating taste like smoke.

Let’s also not forget the dangers of second hand smoke, which is also a killer.

In Los Angeles, we have banned smoking in bars, restaurants (unless on the outside patio) outside the front door of buildings, and yes even on some of our beaches.

Yet we and the smokers still continue smoking; however, it does make one think twice of having to go find a designated smoking area, this would help cut down on smokers I believe.

So when you light up at the dinner table please give a thought to the non-smokers or even the smokers around you that have not finished their meal yet.
