Cypriot scientist and students able to attend CERN programmes

CYPRIOT scientists and students will be able to participate in major programmes of the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), which is the world’s largest particle physics laboratory.

According to a draft Cooperation Agreement between Cyprus and CERN, the Cypriot scientists and students will be able to attend experiments, as they do today, and also participate in major CERN programmes and other activities such as conferences, research and vocational training, and technological and educational seminars, that will contribute to the further transfer of the know-how.

Founded in 1954, CERN was one of Europe’s first joint ventures and now includes 20 member states.
