Body discovered

PAPHOS police were yesterday trying to identify the badly decomposed body of a man found seated in a chair in an abandoned shopping centre on Posidonos street in Kato Paphos. According to forensic officials, the man, believed to be in his forties, was discovered in a sitting position on a chair surrounded by bottles and cans of liquor.

Baffled police said it was impossible to identify him because the body was in such a bad state of decomposition. They added that they believed the man had been dead for around two months and that it was too early to establish if foul play was involved.
