Driving pamphlet

THE CYPRUS Tourism Organisation (CTO) has issued road safety leaflets in five languages as part of an awareness campaign with police, the Transport Ministry, and the association of rental car owners.

The leaflets in English, French, German, Greek and Russian became available yesterday from tourism offices and from car rental companies, hotels and at Larnaca Airport. The tips included on the sheet include reminding tourists that in Cyprus motorists drive on the left hand side, setting out the law regarding drunk driving, the use of mobile phones, the law seat belts, and the compulsory use of helmets when riding motorcycles.
