Theodorakis visit

GREEK musician Mikis Theodorakis will be arriving to Cyprus this Monday on a three-day visit which includes a concert in the heart of Nicosia.

According to an AKEL statement, during Theodorakis stay he will be honoured by President Tassos Papadopoulos

The great musician, now 80, will also be giving a joint press conference together with AKEL Secretary general Demetris Christofias, before heading for a private meeting in the House of Representatives.

Among other visitations, Mikis Theodorakis will also visit the National Guard’s Officer’s Club and will meet with Minister of Defence, Koullis Mavronikolas.

During his concert at the D’Avila moat, he will be given the key to Nicosia by mayor Michalakis Zambelas.

Theodorakis will also visit the monument of his late friend and partner, during the anti-coup days in Greece, Giorgos Tsikouris and place some flowers in his memory.

He will depart on October 12.
