Illegal immigrants found in container

LIMASSOL CID as well as members of the Immigration Services yesterday arrested 13 foreign men hiding in a container destined for Piraeus in Greece. Police officers working at the Limassol port discovered the men hiding in the refrigerated container during a routine check and immediately arrested the men. Six of the men are from Pakistan and the other seven are from India. A police spokesman told reporters on the scene “that the investigations were still at a preliminary stage but that arrests will take place in their near future.” Police officials are trying to determine how the men managed to get past security and into the container.
