New High Commissioner for Britain

PETER Millett has been appointed British High Commissioner to Cyprus to replace Lyn Parker, who will be transferring to another Diplomatic Service.

Millett, 50, entered the Foreign and Commonwealth Office back in 1974 and has worked in a number of positions in Caracas, Doha, Brussels and Athens.

He has been working as Head of Security since 2002 and will take up his new appointment in June.
