Blatant misinformation from CTO office

It seems that Cyprus Tourism Offices abroad do not shy away from using the cheapest tricks in order to prevent visitors from spending money in the North.

Last week, one of my relatives booked a flight from Vienna to Larnaca and enquired at the Cyprus Tourism Office in Vienna as to the possibilities of visiting me in Kyrenia while spending his holidays in Larnaca. He received the information that visits are only allowed for a single day.

Since these false statements are easy to uncover, I wonder whether the relevant authorities are aware of the fact that such misbehaviour is sure to backfire. The planned one-day visit will now turn into a week’s stay!
