Pressing the flesh

It’s ladies only for the new show at Limassol’s Miracle Strip Club. But how far do they go?

IT IS strictly ladies only at Limassol’s first male strip club. Out of the 45 strip joints in Cyprus’ city that never sleeps, this is the one club that offers ‘equal entertainment’ for the girls.

OK, it’s not the Full Monty. They don’t take it all off, but you are enthralled by the different performances on show, ranging from a ‘Zoro act’ (use your imagination), to the more predictable whipped cream and banana treatment.

The star of the show is a luscious 33-year-old Frenchman, ‘Diego’. You won’t forget his name in a hurry: he combines sex appeal with acrobatics, lithely somersaulting his chosen victim.

It is a routine that works: all four strippers said their clients can get a little excited and they often have to remove straying hands from their bodies.
Alkis, 26, from Greece says he has regularly been molested by women: “Every night the women touch me, you can feel that they really want you. I get nervous because I don’t know what each night is going to bring.”

Tina, manageress of Miracle, says the club now offers “special entertainment” that had, up to now, been missing from Limassol. “We have many girls on hen nights that come here. They have a good time and are very happy. Men can come too, but only if they have at least two female escorts.”

Brides to be are a common sight at the club and each one is assigned a personal stripper for the evening, much to the glee of accompanying friends and family.

Samuel, a male stripper from Italy, has been taking his clothes off for a living for five years and loves to perform. He admits his job lost him the ‘love of his life’, who was jealous other women eyeing him up each evening. But fear not ladies, Samuel is looking for love again and has a lot to give.

Samuel performs at Miracle dressed in a white Navy Seal suit, stripping off to Take my Breath Away’ – and he certainly did.

Back to the brides-to-be: if it is you expect a large cake to be presented to you. Not your standard wedding cake mind; it is in the shape of a… well you can guess what it is in the shape of. And if the ‘hen’ is a little shy – as the one was on the night we were there – a good spanking from one of the strippers may liven her up a little. Just a light pat on the bum really, but it is funny to watch.

If men in leather tickle your fancy, then Kriss from Paris is your man. He moves to the music from the The Matrix. No martial arts here, like movie star Keanu Reeves, but he certainly is hot competition.

Manager of Miracle, Clitos, has 20 years of Las Vegas strip club experience behind him and he promises that “Miracle will become better and better”. The four stripers that we enjoyed will soon be joined by eight more from America, Yugoslavia, Poland and France. So take your pick ladies.

Not only does Clitos manage the club, he is also good entertainment value. One moment he’s up on stage with the dancers, clutching a large, suggestive cigar that never gets lit, pelvis thrusting. Then he’s running about the club chatting to a string of women, speaking loud enough for everyone to hear what he says though his microphone headset.

Clitos introduces each stripper, but adds his own sexy thought to the introduction, so brace yourselves: “Sex is an A-class art and we just do it, do it, and do it well.” In no time, he’ll have you in tears, working up his audience into a sufficiently hot and sweaty state before the strippers take over.

Miracle is at Profitis Elias Street, Potamos Yermasoyia, Limassol (opposite Castle Hotel apts). Tickets cost £10, which includes one free drink. The show starts at 11.30pm and goes on until 3.30am, with plenty of time to get up and dance. For more information call the reservations office on: 25 430210.
