His comments came in the wake of allegations of the gross mistreatment of a disabled Russian woman at the hands of the police. POLICE yesterday were holding three Limassol men for questioning after the discovery of counterfeit money amounting to a total of $77,300 in American hundred-dollar bills. The authorities were tipped off that a 30-year-old and two 23-year-old men had picked up an unknown package under a bridge in Limassol.

A LIMASSOL night club yesterday was forced to cancel a lesbian party due to public outcry, police said. Limassol police director George Papageorgiou said the owners of the bar promised they would cancel the party after police went round asking for explanations.
