The 25th best place in the world to live

CYPRUS comes 25th on a list of 162 countries classified according to the quality of life enjoyed by its citizens.

The list was issued by United Nations Development Programne, and rates countries on a scale of 1 to 162, according to education standards, per capita income, and life expectancy.

The report considers the island to be highly developed.

Norway came first, Australia second and Canada third, followed by Sweden, Belgium and the US. Greece is in 23rd place and Turkey 82nd.

The report says Cyprus and Greece are among the top countries for life expectancy.

Cyprus is 33rd when it comes to technological development.
