Eurocypria high on award

EUROCYPRIA has won the distinction of being one of the top three performing charter airlines in Europe, the company announced yesterday.

According to a statement from Eurocypria, a subsidiary of national flag carrier Cyprus Airways, the honour followed another last year.

"Eurocypria got the third place in a list of European chartered flights, with the least flight delays at nine major UK airports," the announcement said, adding the airline had moved up from fourth place the previous year.

The company said the list of winners was drawn up by the Airline Companies Customer Council, an organisation set up by Britain’s Civil Aviation Authority 27 years ago to ensure passenger interests and welfare.

Eurocypria flies to 33 destinations in eight European countries.
